The No-Fault Zone® Process

Most mindfulness practices are designed to quiet the mind by focusing on our breath or repeating a mantra or listening to waves, etc. The No-Fault Zone® process, on the other hand, quiets the mind by asking us to examine our thought process.

The world is so busy and full of distractions that weeks and months can pass where we are constantly preoccupied. To stay focused on the things we really care about, we need to learn to listen authentically to ourselves.

Authentic Listening

The No-Fault Zone® process teaches us how to listen authentically to our body, mind, and soul. This practice brings clarity, curiosity, and compassion into our lives. As we learn this skill, we realize how many choices we actually have throughout our day.

Choices in regards to our:

  • Health - how we take care of ourselves

  • Time - how we spend our day

  • Relationships - how we interact with other people

The No-Fault Zone® process shows us how to break free from repetitive, habitual thinking that no longer serves us. Instead, we focus on our feelings and needs to inform and lead us toward the life we actually want to live.

In The No-Fault Zone® Process:

Red cards have feelings written on them. Choosing cards that are relevant to our experience and naming those feelings helps us get in touch with how the events in our lives really affect us.

Yellow cards have needs written on them. These cards are at the core of this process because when we connect to our needs and values, we connect to the life force within us.

Green cards have choices written on them. They show us that while we may not be able to control events in our lives, how we respond to them really is a choice.

  • When we listen authentically to ourselves, and we attend to our needs, we improve our health.

  • When we take into consideration the things that are important to us, including hobbies we would like to pursue, as well as our work and chores, the way we spend our time is much more creative, efficient, and enjoyable.

  • When we listen to and interact authentically with other people, we establish trust that benefits our relationships.
